Anyone else disappointed that the new BMW M5 will be powered by a V8 rather than a v10?

    Hi Vanilla,

In a word no. The new engine has two turbos which have the new "Twin Scroll" technology which help the engine achieve 555 bhp compared to the maximum 507 the V10 produced.

BMW have got the improvement in power and torque they wanted and at the same time have made the engine lighter and better on fuel consumption.

Basically it is a win win situation.
